Steve Summey D.C., F.A.C.O., C.C.S.P.
Dr.
Summey graduated from Western State College of Colorado in 1976
with a BSc (Biology) emphasizing human performance, Anatomy
and Physiology, with Minor in Psychology and Health Education.
He completed his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 1980, graduating
from Logan College in St. Louis, Missouri, and has been in active
practice since. Where the state requires 15 hours per year of
CME, Dr. Summey has averaged over 50 hours each year post-graduate
education. A partial list of Dr. Summey's Credentials includes
Board Certification in Chiropractic Orthopedics by the Academy
of Chiropractic Sports Physicians. The American Chiropractic
Association Sports Council awarded Dr. Summey the Distinguished
Service Award for Outstanding Contributions to the ACA Sports
Council, its members, and the sportscommunity.
He is owner of Summey Wellness Center, a multidisciplinary
practice in Longmont, Colorado which provides Massage Therapy,
Physical Rehabilitation, Reflexology, Meridian Therapy, Laser
therapy, as well as the latest Chiropractic technology, The
Pro-Adjuster. The Wellness Center also has a Nutrition Department
which utilizes research based and validated product lines.
The newest services offered at the Center are Cardio Vascular
screening and Bone Density (DEXA) testing, providing valuable
data and
immediate results to the client.
Dr. Summey is licensed in HeartMath, the only scientifically
proven system of Stress reduction on the market. His "Workplace
Wellness" lectures, highlight an educational approach
to a variety of topics, addressing "Musculoskeletal Disorders
in the Workplace", and "Safety at Work and in Athletics",
as well as many other Stress Related Disorders. He also gives
lectures on the topics of: "Heart Health Screening",
"Drug-Free Approaches to ADD/ADHD", "Balancing
Hormones Naturally", and "Understanding
Fibromyalgia; A Holistic Approach". Dr. Summey is recognized
for his presentations on "Glyconutrients in Health and
Disease" and "Integrating Glyconutrients into a
Wellness Practice". |
